N’ganj hospitals need psychiatrist

Civil Surgeon of Narayanganj Dr Md Imtiaz Ahmed at a recent seminar on Covid-19 and dengue fever demanded psychiatrist in Narayanganj district due to provide mental treatment in this pandemic situation.

Dr Imtiaz also addressed that the man is healthy means in both physically and mentally remain sound. But it is true that no psychiatrist posted in any government hospital in Narayanganj. Only one year ago we also didn’t assume on it but after COVID outbreak it’s appear before us that people being home bound gradually increasing frustration and anxiety that need to proper treatment provided by the psychiatrist.

‘A line step go ahead on health in Mujib year’, with this slogan on 6th January at the civil surgeon office held a seminar on management COVID-19 and dengue fever situation organized by Health Education and Lifestyle Bureau under health and family planning ministry.

The seminar was moderated by a senior officials of health education department Md. Aminul Haque where the chief guest was director general of health education department Dr. Abdul Aziz, special guest Health Education Bureau’s deputy manager Happy Nath Tripura and also was present Narayanganj district corona vocal person Dr. Jahidul Islam.

At the first stage of COVID-19 outbreak, we were afraid over Narayanganj district patient and treatment management but now we became a satisfied level due to our health workers tiredless service.

Dr Imtiaz pressed that psychiatrist was required in Narayanganj now it is badly needed because psychotic support and management is the main power to a man to tackle COVID-19.

Dr Aziz marked the seminar that everybody has to maintain his lifestyle healthy and abiding proper direction from health department. To keep own self with a physical distance from a infected person or any cough reliever person and must have wear mask.

In the seminar the speakers also delivered detail description on dengue fever symptoms, treatment, preventions and safety measures.
