Mystery behind Bagmara businessman killing revealed

Kamrul Islam, a businessman whose body was recovered from Bishutibill under Borobihanali union at Bagmara on April 16, was killed by miscreants.

Mystery behind the killing was unearthed during an investigation after Ranju and Kamrul’s cousin Mahabur Rahman gave confessional statement to the police, said Rasel Kabir, Officer-in-Charge of Bagmara police station. Bagmara police recovered Kamrul’s body with injury marks in his throat from a paddy field.On the same day, police arrested two suspects- Ranju and Kamrul’s cousin Mahabur, after a case filed by the victim’s family members accusing unnamed people.

When the investigation officer of the case confirmed that Ranju and Mahabur were involved in the killing, police arrested them. Later, the duo were placed before the court and put on tree-day remand. During remand on Thursday, they gave confessional statement to the police. “Actual mystery and killers of the businessman have been identified, but it will be not revealed yet for smooth investigation of the case,” said OC Rasel Kabir.
