Mysterious death of housewife in Kishoreganj

A housewife named Mst. Maksuda Khatun (25) has mysteriously died in a rented house near Barabazar Bhuiyan Mosque in Kishoreganj district town. Police recovered the body of the housewife from the spot around 1.30 am on Tuesday. 

Kabir Hossain, father-in-law of the deceased housewife Maksuda, Ayesha Akhter, mother-in-law, Sister-in-law Suchi and sister-in-law husband Sabuj have been absconding since Wednesday afternoon. She has a daughter named Jerin. The deceased was identified as Maksuda Khatun, daughter of late Rajab Ali of Gaital Sabutaj School Road in the district town. Maksuda is the wife of Singapore expatriate Sadbir Ahmed.

Family members say we saw signs of injuries on Maksuda's body. It cannot be suicide. It's murder. This death is not normal. Our Maksuda cannot do that.

According to the family sources of the deceased, they got married as a family. In their marriage, a daughter was born. Maksuda's father-in-law, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and sister-in-law husbands often had family quarrels. News came to Maksuda's brothers around 11 pm on Tuesday that Maksuda had been strangled.

Sanaullah, brother of the deceased, filed a case with Kishoreganj Model Police Station on Wednesday afternoon accusing her father-in-law Kabir Hossain, mother-in-law Ayesha Akhter, sister-in-law Suchi and sister-in-law husband Sabuj of inciting suicide.

Kishoreganj Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abu Bakar Siddique said a case under Section 306 has been filed in the incident. The body was sent to the 250-bed General Hospital morgue for autopsy. The real reason will be known after receiving the autopsy report.
