FM Salam and Mohammad Nazrul Islam were re-elected President and General Secretary at Mymensingh Press Club, during its general meeting on Saturday.
The meeting unanimously formed a five-member convening committee under the leadership of Advocate Rafiqul Islam Aadhar, Senior Vice-President of the outgoing committee of the Press Club, to elect the president and general secretary. The electoral board unanimously elected the president and general secretary. The other members of the electoral board are M Mokhlesur Rahman Khan, Advocate Jasim Uddin Ahmed, Matiul Alam and Md. Abul Kalam Azad. The meeting was addressed by Shamsul Alam Khan, Ferdous Ahmed Babul, Md. Harunur Rashid, Mosharraf Hossain Khasru, Shahidul Islam Shafiq, Khurshid ul Alam Mujib, Monones Das, Monirul Islam Monir, Mohiuddin Sohel, Obaidul Pathan, Md. Idris Ali, Nurul Islam Khan, Abdul Haque Liton, HM Zubair Hossain, Monalisa, Sabina Yasmin and Nabila Afrin, among others.
After the establishment of Mymensingh Division, the Mymensingh Divisional Press Club was formed in 2015 by journalists from print and electronic media working in Mymensingh, Jamalpur, Sherpur and Netrokona districts and upazilas with the aim of increasing communication, sincerity, camaraderie, professional status and efficiency among professional journalists of the four districts.
