The full 55-member executive committee of the Mymensingh Divisional Press Club has been formed to strengthen professional communication, cooperation, integrity, and journalistic excellence among media professionals across the four districts of the division — Mymensingh, Jamalpur, Sherpur, and Netrokona.
In a special general meeting held on Tuesday, Daily Desher Khobor editor FM A Salam was re-elected as President, while Amader Shomoy staff reporter Md Nazrul Islam was re-elected as General Secretary.
The committee includes journalists from both print and electronic media working at district and upazila levels. Among the key office bearers are Vice Presidents Advocate Rafiqul Islam Adhar, M. Kibria Chowdhury Helim, M.A. Jalil, M. Mokhlesur Rahman Khan, Jashim Uddin Ahmed, Mugniur Rahman Moni, Md Fazle Elahi Makam, and Matiul Alam.
Joint General Secretaries include Mosharraf Hossain Khasru, Bhajan Das, Mohiuddin Sohel, and Shamim Alam. Mokhlesur Rahman Sobuj was named Treasurer, and Ferdous Ahmed Babul Organising Secretary.
Other positions include Training, IT, Cultural, Sports, Library, and Welfare Secretaries, as well as numerous Executive Members representing various media houses.
The club aims to promote journalistic unity and support press freedom across the Mymensingh division.
