Under this program, monthly treatment and old age allowance were distributed at Mustafa Hakim Bhavan at City Gate on Friday. The meeting was presided over by Alhaj Hosne Ara Manjur Welfare Trust director, social worker and Awami League leader Alhaj Saiful Alam. Former mayor Manjur Alam said that everyone should be united for the welfare of the country. It is not appropriate to create any kind of artificial crisis to make the people of the country suffer. All should be alert so that no one can create an artificial crisis.
He said, family-based social service is our tradition. My father Alhaj Abdul Hakim Bhandari was a charitable social worker. Following the path shown by the father, we are trying to do something to alleviate the suffering of people. We are trying to fulfill God's orders by serving the neglected marginalized groups of the society. We expect the cooperation of all levels of society in this program.
