Bangladesh's experienced player Mushfiqur Rahim may leave Asia Cup unfinished due to family reasons and return to the country as the final decision will be made after today’s match against Sri Lanka.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) source confirmed that Mushfiqur is considering returning to the country because of his wife’s pregnancy. He told the team management that he must be in Dhaka by September 12.
Bangladesh team will play their last match in the Super Four against India on September 15.
The Bangladesh team has been going through a rough patch since the beginning of the Asia Cup. Ebadot Hossain got injured and was knocked out before the start of the tournament.
Litton Das also could not play in the group-stage match due to fever. Anamul Haque Bijoy was brought in his place. Najmul Hossain Shanto also had to return home due to a hamstring injury after the Afghanistan match.
