A mural of language martyr Abul Barkat has been set up at the Departmetn of Political Science in Dhaka University.
Abul Barkat completed his graduation from the department before he was martyred in the Language Movement in 1952.
Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Prof Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman at a function inaugurated the mural at the corridor of the department on Sunday (June 12), says a press release.
DU Pro-VC (Administration) Prof Dr. Mohammad Samad, DU Pro-VC (Academic) Prof Dr. ASM Maksud Kamal and Social Science faculty dean Prof Dr. Zia Rahman were present on the occasion, among others.
