Munshiganj DB police arrest 4 with Yaba tablets

Munshiganj DB police arrested 4 people with 11 hundred Yaba tablets in a separate operation on the basis of secret information.

Raju Madbar, 36, son of Khorshed Madbar, was first arrested along with 100 pieces of yaba in front of a shop called Dashkani Mahida Furniture Gallery in Kandi area of Chhota Guharkandi under Munshiganj police station around 12:30 pm on Friday.

According to Raju Madbar, Munshiganj police arrested Masum Mollah, 45, son of Hafiz Uddin of Dhoprapasha Molla Bari area of Tongibari upazila in front of Kamal Uddin's auto garage in Sujanagar area 

under Munshiganj police station along with 200 pieces of yaba. Maya Khatun, 41, wife of Dulal Saiyal of Chardumuria area and Shilpi Barman, daughter of Mukundra Chandra Barman of Porashak Bausia area of Gazaria Upazila were arrested from in front of Sagar Computers shop at South Courtgaon Flag Chattar under Munshiganj Police Station. At that time, they recovered 800 pieces of yaba tablets from them.

Munshiganj DB Officer-in-Charge Abul Kalam Azad (PPM) said, "We conducted an operation on the basis of secret information and arrested accused Raju Madbar with yaba tablets." Later, on the basis of the information received from the accused Raju Madbar, I was able to conduct another operation and arrest the rest of the accused including Yabas. He added that those who use and trade drugs will not be exempted. Drug users and dealers will all be brought under the law. A case has been filed against the accused at Munshiganj Sadar Police Station and the accused have been sent to court.
