Mymensingh City Mayor Mohammad Ikramul Haque Titu inaugurated five development works in Mymensingh City Corporation's ward no 21 at a cost of Tk 5.27 crore on Monday noon.
The development works include 400 meters at BAU gate no-2, 1,350 metre behind BAU Suhrawardy Hall, 500 metre from BAU E/5 Quarter to Baishakhi Chattar, 720 metre behind BFRI water tank, RCC road and 900 meters drainage system with footpath from BAU gate no-1 to administrative building.
At the time, Mayor Titu said, the proper quality of roads, drains or any development work built with public money must be ensured.
None will be exempted on the question of quality.
He further said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is sincere about the people of Mymensingh City. She has given City Corporation and multiple development projects for the development of the people of the City. Strict action will be taken in case of any weakness in the proper implementation of these projects.
