The nation would learn a lot of unknown information and new chapter of the history through the much-awaited Biopic ‘Mujib: The Making of a Nation’.

The Making of a Nation’, first ever movie on the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was released on Friday. The biopic reflects the real history of the country and it will end all disinformation of the anti-liberation force to demean Bangabandhu. The 2 hours and 58 minutes biopic of Bangabandhu hits over 200 cinemas halls across the country simultaneously. People especially the young generation were very enthusiastic about the movie on the architect of Bangladesh.

At last their long wait for the biopic which depicts the life and political odyssey of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman came to an end as it is being screened at cinemas and cineplexses in the country. Film is a powerful medium and the youths will get the opportunity to visualise the time and history watching the movie.

People on Friday were seen showcasing their enthusiastic responses about the film over the social media platforms, and also showing up to the ticket counters at the cinema halls for tickets. Country’s national dailies and television channels continued running stories on the biopic of Bangabandhu in details.

We think ‘Mujib-Making of a Nation’, first ever movie on the architect of Bangladesh, will be the best work on the great leader. The audiences highly appreciated the film saying this biopic will remain as a historical document and it will largely contribute to disseminate the spirit and ideology of Sheikh Mujib to the people especially the new generation.

The biopic reflects

the real history

of the country

Since the country’s independence a lot of films, short-film and dramas were made on Liberation War in Bangladesh. But, no government took any initiative to make a film on the architect of Bangladesh.  The film, acted by young film stars, depicting the life and works of architect of independent Bangladesh will deeply connect the new generation with the historical accounts. We think it was very tough job to entirely portray a towering personality like Bangabandhu in a single film.  Numerous attempts had been made to erase the name of Bangabandhu after his assassination on August 15 in 1975. So, the people of the country would learn a lot of unknown information and new chapter of the history through the much-awaited biopic. The movie depicts a political icon whose personality, philosophy and entity are intertwined with our national hopes and aspirations. Making a film on a celebrated political personality like Bangabandhu, the greatest Bangalee of all times is very tough as a filmmaker must have to think of different dimensions and perspectives.

This film represents the country’s real history of victory and achievements before generation to generation to inspire them to work for the nation being imbued with patriotism. After knowing the real history, they (generation to generation) not only will be imbued with patriotism but also will get inspiration to contribute to the country's people instead of self interest, as a noble spirit will come which is needed for us.

Through watching this movie, we think the sacrifices and struggles of the people behind these achievements will be known to all. Besides, the young generation can get chance to know the real history why they the country observes February 21 as International Mother Language Day and Martyrs’ Day, historic March 7 speech of the Father of the Nation, brutal assassination of Bangabandhu on August 15 and genocide of 1971. The real struggle of the people and the bravery of the Bangalis led by Bangabandhu to liberate the country through a war will be depicted before the new generation.
