Mujib Barsho T20 cricket tournament is going to begin at three venues in Faridpur on February 7. The preparations are going on to hold the event spontaneously. Faridpur Cricketers Welfare Association is arranging the event with the support of Serin Garden Café Restaurant, Dyuti Priti Trade International and Anika Enterprise.
On the occasion, Faridpur Cricketers Welfare Association arranged a press conference at Serin Garden Café Restaurant at Charkamlapur area in the district town on Saturday.
President of the association Khandaker Saiful Islam Efi read out the written statement at the press conference. Syed Junayed Parvez, Masuda Begum Bulu, Golam Tanvir and Talha Jubayer were present at the time. Khandaker Saiful Islam Efi said that the tournament is beging arranged in name of six freedom fighters. Jersey for players in the tournament were also prepared in the names of the freedom fighters. He called upon all to make the tournament a success.
The tournament will be held at Faridpur Sheikh Jamal Stadium, Bakhunda Sheikh Rasel Mini Stadium and Komorupur Abdul Aziz Stadium. Final match of the tournament will be held on February 15. Engineer Khandker Mosharraf Hossain, MP from Faridpur-3 constituency and former LGRD Minister, is scheduled to inaugurate the tournament.
