To celebrate the 28 anniversary of its presence in Bangladesh, and 6 years of its Bangladesh Office, Mastercard kicked off its first-ever “Mastercard Payments Summit & Gala Award Night 2019” at Hotel InterContinental in the capital on Tuesday. Syed Rafiqul Haq, Additional Managing Director & CBO, Mutual Trust Bank Limited received the Award for Excellence in Mastercard Co Brand Business 2018-19 & Pioneer in Mastercard Contactless Credit Issuance 2018-19 category. Md. Ashadul Islam, Senior Secretary, Financial Institutions Division, Ministry of Finance, Ahmed Jamal, Deputy Governor, Bangladesh Bank, JoAnne Wagner, Charged’ Affairs, US Embassy to Bangladesh, Syed Mohammad Kamal, Country Manager, Mastercard Bangladesh and MD, CEO and senior representatives from leading financial institutions, dignitaries, chamber leaders, business community and merchants from across the country attended the summit.
