Jheniidah-4 MP Anwarul Azim Anar and upazila vice chairman in Kaliganj Shibly Noman were injured when a motorbike hit their bike on Sunday morning. The accident occurred at Balakander village in Kaliganj upazila of the district. They were rushed to upazila health complex (UHC), confirmed the lawmaker’s personal assistant Abdur Rauf.
He said Anar along with upazila vice chairman Shibly Noman on a motorbike was marching to attend a funeral of Prasenjit Biswas son of upazila assistant agriculture officer Satyajit Biswas, who had died at Square hospital at Dhaka. When their bike arrived at Balakander at about 10am, another bike from the opposite direction had met the head on collision leaving Anar and Noman injured. Locals rescued the injured duo and sent to upazila health complex (UHC).
Upazila health and family planning officer (UHFPO) Dr. Shirin Sharmin when contacted said they have been conducting various tests of the lawmaker and vice chairman. Both of them are seems to be out of danger.
