The movement pass app received on Thursday around 16 crore hits, according to data from Police Headquarters.
Movement pass is needed to go out in emergency during the seven-day strict lockdown that started on 14 April.
A total of 159,922,065 hits were there so far.The apps received at least 14,02 hits per minute for movement pass amid lockdown.
However, the app issued some 316,801 movement passes till Thursday morning. Some 316,754 passes have so far been accepted.
Besides, 400,977people were able to register for the pass during this period.
People can obtain the pass through an app by visiting: movementpass.police.gov.bd.
Amid this strict lockdown, some services and offices/factories are out of lockdown restrictions, according to DMP headquarters' notification on Thursday .
Those are- doctors, nurses, medical staff, individuals / staff involved in Covid vaccination/ treatment, bankers, staff of bank, journalists, cameraperson of media portals, telephone / internet service worker, private security guards, officers / employees involved in emergency services, office-going government officials, workers / officers of industrial factories including garments, law enforcement members, fire service, postal service, individuals / officials working for water, gas, fuel and electricity, port concerned person / officer.
The above-mentioned people/ services do not need to show a movement pass for their movement during the nationwide lockdown. They can go to work only by showing their identity cards, says the notice.
The notification also asked to give a briefing to the on-duty policemen at different check posts over this matter on an urgent basis.
Amid worsening situation, the government announced a set of restrictions to be imposed during the nationwide lockdown for 14-21 April.
