Moulivibazar Superintendent of Police (SP) Md Manjur Rahman visited the flood-hit areas and distributed relief items among the flood-affected people on behalf of Moulvibazar district police in Moulvibazar Sadar Upazila on Saturday.
Dry foods, Orsaline, candles and matches were distributed to the flood affected people who took shelter at Konokpur Government Primary School in Moulvibazar Sadar Upazila.
SP Md Manjur Rahman said Moulvibazar district police are beside the people to help them in any disaster. He also said we believe that we can face this disaster easily if people of all classes and professions of the society work together. He urged all people to come forward according to their own abilities during this critical time of the country.
He said Moulvibazar district police are working with various voluntary organizations for rescue work and relief distribution activities, along with maintaining the law and order. He also said Moulvibazar district police have already launched a hotline number for emergency contact during the flood. Besides the emergency service 999, people can contact using the hotline (01320-120698) number for necessary assistance.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Finance) Shudarshan Kumar Ray (Promoted to Police Super), Additional Superintendent of Police (DSB) Mohsin, Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime & Ops) Mohammad Sarowar Alam, Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Md Azmal Hosen, Officer-in-Charge of Moulvibazar Sadar Police Station KM Nazrul and others were present during the relief distribution.
