With a joint initiative between ESDO and Educo Bangladesh, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signing ceremony for LIFT project titled "Enhancing skills and creating employment opportunities for marginalised and disadvantaged youth in Dhaka" was held on Sunday.
The MoU signing ceremony between Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutes-Mirpur Agricultural Workshop and Training School (MOTS) and Xinjiang Hospitality Training Institute (XHTI), was organized at ESDO Hall Room, Adabor in the capital.
Abdul Hamid, Country Director of the Education and Development Foundation (Educo), was present as chief guest with Md. Zillur Rahman, Head of Finance and Compliance, ESDO in the chair.
Among others, Shahriar Mahmud, Head of TVET, representatives from the TVET institutes, donor agencies, other ESDO officials, and media representatives took part in the programme.
The project's goals, objectives, activities, and progress were highlighted during the event. The speakers focused on preparing 300 disadvantaged youth (ages 16-22, both male and female) through skill development and creating full and productive employment and decent work opportunities.
