MoU signed between DU, Hyderabad University

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Dhaka University (DU) and Hyderabad University, India was signed and exchanged on Saturday. DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman and Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Riva Ganguly Das signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides in presence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House, New Delhi, a DU press release said on Sunday.

The main focus of the MoU is to develop academic and educational cooperation on the basis of equality and reciprocity and to promote relations and mutual understanding between the two universities. Under the MoU, the main areas of collaborations are exchange of teachers and students, information, research and development collaboration, joint organisation of national and international seminar and conferences of mutual interest. However, this MoU is signed for a period of five years.
