A motorcycle rider was killed in a road accident on the Dhaka-Khulna highway under Kashiani upazila of the district on Monday night.
The deceased was identified as Biplob Sheikh, 18, son of Hemayet Hossain Sheikh, a resident of Barashur village of the upazila.
The accident occurred on the Bhatiapara flyover when the bike rider Biplob hit the flyover railing as he lost control of his bike, said inspector of Bhatiapara Highway Police Camp Abu Naeem Mohammad Mofazzal Haque.
Later, he was taken to Kashiani 100-bed hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
