A Natore court on Sunday sentenced a man and his mother to life term in jail in a case over killing his wife for dowry in Singra upazila of the district around 13 years back.
The convicts are Dulal Chandra Mahanta and his mother Geeta Rani Mahanta, residents of Pakuria village in the Singra upazila.
Natore’s Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge Muhammad Abdur Rahim also fined the convicts Tk 30,000 each, said the court’s Public Prosecutor Anisur Rahman.
