A mother fled leaving her two-year-old child at a tea shop in Benapole Bazar. This incident took place at the tea shop of Tofazzal Hossain in Benapole Bazar around 10.30 pm on Friday night.
The mother introduced herself to the tea shop as the child's mother. Benapole Port Police rescued the child from the spot and took him into their custody. A police personnel is currently taking care of the child. Tofazzal Hossain, a tea shopkeeper, said a woman came to her tea shop with a child around 10.30 pm.
After a while She left the baby, while telling him to keep an wye on the baby as she was trying to go to a nearby washroom. But as time passed, the woman did not come back and Tofazzal informed the Port Police. Later, the police took the child into police custody. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Benapole Port Police Station Mamun Khan said,The child has been kept in police custody. Family of this baby is being searched. Queries have been made in social media with pictures.
