Mother, 2 sons die in Dhanmondi road crash

A woman and her two sons were dead and three others were when a private car collided with a CNG in Dhamrai on Friday night.

The incident took place around 9 pm on Dhamrai-Dhantara regional road at Dhulivita area in Dhamrai, outside of the capital.

The deceased were identified as Peyara Begum, 45, wife of Nasir Uddin from Baria village in Dhamrai, and her two sons named Nasib Khan, 23, and Choton Khan, 18. However, the identity of injured people could not be identified immediately.

Quoting locals, Atiqur Rahman, Oc of Dhamrai police station said the woman and her two sons were going towards Dhulivita area by the CNG run auto-rickshaw, and at one stage the auto-rickshaw collided with a car coming from opposite side. 

Adding that locals later took all injured local health complex, where on-duty doctors declared one of them dead, and two other were dead on the way to Dhaka medical hospital for better treatment following doctor’s referred.

Preparing to take necessary legal steps in this regard was underway, OC said.
