The month long Islamic book fair organised by Islamic Foundation at the South gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the city draws visitors’ every day as people are able to buy Islamic books at a special rate, reports BSS.
The fair was arranged on holy month of Eid-e-Miladunnabi, the month of birth and demise of the Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). The fair venue is open for all from 10 am to 8 pm every day till 9 December.
Religious Affairs Secretary Md Anisur Rahman on November 9 inaugurated the fair, an official release said on Sunday.
A total of 61 stalls were set up at the fair compound. People throng the fair venue to buy Islamic books including Holy Quran, Tafsir, and Hadith.
The Islamic Foundation’s Publications Department organizes the fair every year on the occasion of Holy Eid Miladunnabi, added the release.
