Month-long cottage industry fair kicks off in Bogura

A month-long fair showcasing small and cottage industry products has commenced in Bogura with the aim of raising funds for the Journalist Welfare Fund. Organised under the full management of the Journalist Union Bogura, the fair officially began on Friday morning at the field adjacent to Mohammad Ali Hospital in the town.

The fair was inaugurated by Rezaul Hasan Ranu, President of Bogura Press Club. Present at the event were Ganesh Das, President of Journalist Union Bogura, and General Secretary S.M. Abu Sayeed. Also in attendance were Vice President Abdus Sattar, Joint Secretary Abdul Wadud, NCP Bogura District Coordinators Rafia Sultana Rafi and Sultan Mahmud, Organising Secretary Saiful Islam, Treasurer Ferdousur Rahman, Executive Members Mahfuz Mondol and Protik Omar, senior journalists Abul Kalam Azad, Zohurul Islam, Mostafa Moghal, and President of Bogura Photo Journalists Association Abdur Rahim. Arif Wahidul, proprietor of Green Event Management, was also present.

The fair features a wide range of locally made small and cottage industry products, including handicrafts and traditional items. In addition to the stalls, there are also several attractive rides and entertainment options for children, making the event enjoyable for families.

Organisers hope the initiative will both promote local entrepreneurship and contribute significantly to supporting journalists in need through the welfare fund.
