Mrs Monowara Sikder, wife of the late Zainul Haque Sikder, founder of Sikder Group, passed away on Thursday while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the United States (Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un).
Monowara Sikder (81), former chairman of National Bank, had long been suffering from various illnesses. She was surrounded by her children and family members at the time of her passing.
The journalists and employees of Bangladesh Post have expressed deep condolence at the death of Monowara Sikder, mother of Bangladesh Post’s publisher and editor Mr Rick Haque Sikder, and prayed for the eternal peace of her departed soul.
