Engr. Md. Moklesur Rahman, one of the Sponsor Directors of SBAC Bank PLC., has been elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank. He was unanimously elected chairman of the bank in its 186th Board meeting held on September 30.
Before that, he served as Vice-Chairman of the bank. Rahman is the founder of B&T Group, a renowned conglomerate with allied concerns naming Contech Construction Ltd., B&T Knitwear Ltd., B&T Cables Ltd., B&T Cold Storage Ltd., B&T Development Ltd., B&T Meter Ltd., B&T Transformers Ltd., Smart Meter, Pre-Stressed Poles Ltd., Nexus Securities Ltd., Tushar Ceramics Ltd., PMJ Asset Management Ltd., and BD Game Studio Ltd.
He showed an outstanding academic excellence too and obtained his B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET).
Rahman was born in a noble Muslim family in Jibannagar of Chuadanga district.
He is engaged in social, cultural, religious activities and renowned patron of education as distinguished philanthropist besides playing an exemplary role in the country's industry-commerce, economic development and employment creation.
