Mohammad Ali Khokon, chairman of Maksons Group, has been re-elected as the unopposed president of Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) on Sunday for the 2023-25 tenure. Abul Bashar, chairman of the election commission and managing director of Abul Bashar Spinning Mills Ltd, announced the name of the president, three vice-presidents and 23 directors who were elected unopposed, the BTMA said in a statement.
The election of BTMA was held at its office in the capital's Kawranbazar area on Sunday.
Three vice-presidents are-- Md Fazlul Hoque from the yarn manufacturing category, Md Fayazur Rahman Bhuiyan from the fabrics manufacturing category and Md Saleudh Zaman Khan from the dyeing-printing category.
The newly elected directors for the 2023-2025 tenure are: Md Mosharraf Hossain, Md Monir Hossain, Syed Enayet Kabir, M Solaiman, M Khorshed Alam, M Masud Rana, Engineer Razib Haider, Monalisa Mannan, Engineer Ishtiaque Ahmed Saikat, BM Shoaib, M Shahid Alam, Azizur R Chowdhury, Ahmed Shahriar Rahman, Mohammad Habibur Rahman, Abdullah Al Mamun, Syed Nurul Islam, Nur-e-Yasmin Fatima, Anaf Aziz, M Kamrul Hasan, Abdul Wadud Chowdhury, M Azhar Khan, Rashedul Hasan Rintu and Motiur Rahman
