Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) Commissioner Hasan Md. Shawkat Ali has emphasized that the use of modern technology is extremely important to ensure the safety of citizens.
He said that with CCTV monitoring, key areas of the city can be placed under continuous surveillance. This will play an effective role in crime prevention, rapid investigation, and maintaining law and order.
The remarks were made on Wednesday morning during the inauguration of the CCTV monitoring system and unveiling of the plaque at the Panchlaish Model Police Station in the city.
CMP Commissioner said that strengthening technology-driven policing could lead to significant progress in controlling crime.
The event was attended by CMP’s Additional Commissioner (Traffic) and Additional Charge (Finance & Administration) Wahidul Haq Chowdhury, Additional Police Commissioner (Crime & Operations) Muhammad Faisal Ahmed and Deputy Police Commissioner (Sadar) Md. Ferdous Ali Chowdhury, along with other senior officials.
