Mobile Online Registration Help Desk was inaugurated by the Commissionerate of Customs, Excise and VAT of Sylhet at the Customs Office of Mehenibagh in Sylhet on Tuesday noon.
ATM Soyeb, President of Sylhet Chamber of Commerce and Industry, inaugurated the Mobile Online Registration Help Desk by snapping the red-tape as the chief guest. The function was attended, among others, by Golam M Munir, Commissioner of Customs, Excise and VAT Commissionerate, Sylhet, Shafiur Rahman, Additional Commissioner, Minhaj Uddin, Joint Commissioner, Syedul Alam, Deputy-Commisisoner, Ahmedur Reza Chowdhury, Divisional Officer, Chandan Saha, Sr.Vice-President of SCCI, Embdad Hossain and falahuddin Ali Ahmed.
ATM Soyeb Ahmed, SCCI President said, the range of VAR should be increased so that more VAT is collected. He urged the traders to register their enterprise under VAT registration. He said, there was no alternative to VAT to develop the country.
Golam M Munir, Commissioner of Customs, Excise and VAT Commissionerate said, the Mobile Registration Help Desk has been introduced to ease the traders and businessmen to pay their VAT safely and easily.
The Online Registration Help Desk will move to Sylhet, Habiganj, Sunamganj, Moulvi Bazaar districts and other places to register the traders under online VAT Registration Process.
