Two private clinics in Satkhira were raided and fined Tk 55,000 and a fake doctor was jailed for 6 months and another clinic owner was jailed for 10 days for non-registration.
A RAB team led by District Executive Magistrate Al Amin Hussain conducted the operation at Shefa Diagnostic Center, Swadesh Clinic and Astha Diagnostic Center in the city on Tuesday afternoon.
In this regard, District Executive Magistrate Al Amin Hossain said that raids were conducted in various clinics Tuesday as per government instructions. Abu Bakr Siddique, the owner of Sefa Diagnostic Center in Satkhira city, was fined 50,000 taka for running a clinic with fake doctors.
Besides, the fake doctor Vipul Kumar Das alias BK Das was sentenced to 6 months imprisonment. On the other hand, Aastha Digital Diagnostic Center was sealed for lack of registration. At the same time, Bishjit Pal, the owner of the company, was sentenced to 10 days imprisonment and fined 5 thousand rupees.
RAB-6 Satkhira Company Commander ASP Nazmul Haque, Medical Officer of Satkhira Civil Surgeon Office Dr. Jayant Kumar Sarkar and others were present there.
