Mizanur Rahman, Bangladesh’s High Commissioner to Canada, has been appointed as the new Ambassador to Oman.
This information was given in the press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday (September 2).
Earlier, he was engaged in various missions in the Bangladesh Mission in Colombo, Moscow and Manchester. He was also Bangladesh’s ambassador to the Netherlands and Egypt. Apart from this, he has also served as the Director General of the Multilateral Economic and Administration Department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He also held various important positions in the ministry.
Mizanur Rahman holds a master’s degree in physics from Dhaka University. He later joined the foreign cadre in the BCS 1985 batch. In private life he is married and has two children.
