Dhallywood popular actress and social activist Rafiath Rashid Mithila has become quite popular in Tollywood industry she has acted in few films like Raajhorshee De’s ‘Maaya’ a dark film based on William Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Riingo Banerjee’s ‘A River in Heaven’ and Arunav Khasanbish's 'Nitishastro', etc. awaiting release.
It is learnt the actress Tollywood debut film titled ‘Maaya’ will have a special screening at North American Bengali Conference NABC-Bongo Sommelan from July 1 to 3 in the United States.
On Monday May 23, the actress herself confirmed the matter to the media that her first Tollywood film titled 'Maaya' would be screened at NABC and she will be present at the ceremony.
'Maaya' is based on William Shakespeare's famous tragedy 'Macbeth' and Mithila will be seen in the role of Lady Macbeth. Apart from Mithila, Tollywood's Gaurab Chakraborty, Tanushree Chakraborty, Sudipta Bandyopadhyay, Rahul, Kamleshwar and others are also starring in the movie.
Mithila is going on a month-long tour of Africa next week before the Bengali Conference. Her visit to Africa is part of her office (BRAC) work. During this time, Mithila will have office work in Tanzania and Kenya. From there she will fly to America to attend the Conference.
Meanwhile, Mithila is currently busy shooting for the movie 'Kajol Rekha' directed by Gias Uddin Selim. Where the actress is playing the role of Kankan Dasi. Mithila said, the director told her the story about two years ago and she is excited to work on 400 years ago story.
Note that Mithila starrer 'Omanush' and 'Joley Joley Tara' awaiting release in Bangladesh. Recently, the actress starrer Kolkata web series titled 'Montu Pilot 2' was released on OTT platform 'Hoichoi'. The series was directed by y Debaloy Bhattacharya, the character played by Mithila is very much appreciated by the viewers.
