Popular Bangladeshi model Rafiath Rashid Mithila and Indian producer Srijit Mukherjee got married on December 6 last year. She went on honeymoon to Europe in a hurry.
Mithila then moved to Bangladesh and was unable to return to India due to a lockdown caused by the coronavirus. That caused her to be stuck out of that country and away from her new husband.
Finally, with special permission, Mithila returned to Srijit after a long time of five months.
They met on August 15 at the Bangladesh-India border. This means that Mithila went to India from Bangladesh, Srijit came to greet her at the Petrapole border crossing. Mithila was seen with her daughter Ayra at that time.
The good news was created on social media with a historical caption and picture. She wrote, “On August 15, 1947, many people crossed the border out of hatred. And on August 15, 2020, the two crossed the border again for love.”
For now, Mithila is quietly visiting her father-in-law’s house in Kolkata. There is still no response from her at the moment.
