Missing youth’s body recovered in Jibannagar

Locals recovered the body of a speech-impaired youth from Jibannagar of Chuadanga district, three days after he had gone missing. The body was recovered from a pond at Beltala Para in Andulbaria village of the upazila around 11am on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Sagar, 20, son of Minarul Islam of Beltalapara.

According to family sources, Sagar left home at around 12 noon on Tuesday without informing  anyone. After extensive searching, there was no trace of him for 3 days. Finally, around 10 am on Thursday, Moin Uddin, a farmer from Andulbaria village, was on his way to the field when he saw the body of Sagar floating in a pond. He then immediately informed the locals.


Locals rushed to the spot and recovered Sagar’s body from the pond. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Jibannagar Police Station Saiful Islam confirmed the incident.
