Missing child’s body packed in sack recovered

Police recovered the dead body of a child packed in a sack, four-day after his missing at Bashtola village near Charagaon frontier under Tahirpur police station of Sunamganj district around 5-00 am. on Saturday.  The victim was identified as Tofazzal Hossain (7) son of Jubair Hossain of Bashtola village of Sunamganj. He was a student of class one of Bashtola Darul Hedayet Madrasha. 

Relatives of the victim informed, on Wednesday night child Tofazzal went to attend a Waz-Mahfil( religious congregation) at the village playground but did not return home in the morning. As a result, family members filed a general diary with the local police station. On Friday morning, family members found a pair of shoes of Tofazzal and a letter where it was written Tofazzal was well at the house of a man at Tekerhat and would allow returning his house in exchange of paying a ransom of Taka 80,000 and that they would realise the money from anyone at their cow-shed early Saturday.

 As a result, Tofazzal's uncle Maulana Salman Hossain was waiting at the cowshed with the money. In the early morning Salman heard a dashing sound in front of the cowshed and saw the dead body of child Tofazzal packed in a  sack.  Being informed, police rushed to the spot and recovered the dead body of Tofazzal from the spot. Police arrested two relatives of the victim- Sejaul Kabir and his father Kala Mia on suspicion.

Atiqur Rahman, OC of Tahirpur police station informed, the incident of murder of child Tofazzal was mysterious. There were marks of injuries on the eye of the child.
