Police recovered body of a child six days after it had gone missing from Monipur Modhyopara area of Gazipur Sadar upazila on November 10.
Dead body was recovered from the abovementioned place around 11 am on Saturday (November 16).
The deceased was identified as Munia, 5, daughter of Manjur Hossen hailed from aforesaid area.
Sub-Inspector (SI) of Joydevpur Police Station, Md. Based Miah confirmed the matter.
Police sent the body to Gazipur Shaheed Tazuddin Ahmad Medical College & Hospital for post-mortem. Police believe miscreants dumped the body here after killing her 4/5 days ago. Police investigation is underway.
