The miscreants looted a rice shop at HB Traders owned by journalist Iqbal Hossain at Navaran Satkhira area in Sharsha upazila of Jashore district on early Thursday.
Due to previous enmity, a group of miscreants broke the shutters of the shop on Thursday early and looted cash from the shop along with 260 bags of rice and 6 gas stoves in a truck.
With the help of night guard Babul Hossain, who was on duty in the market, the miscreants looted all the goods of the shop in a truck for within one hour and a half. At that time, other night guards in the market came forward and they were threatened to kill them at gunpoint.
Night guard Babul Hossain informed the journalist Iqbal Hossain, the owner of HB Traders, when the miscreants left with the truck full of goods.
After inspecting the spot, Sharsha Police Station OC Badrul Alam arrested night guard Babul Hossain and took him to the police station.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Jewel Imran, of Navaran Circle, said police had already launched an operation to recover the looted goods. The miscreants will be arrested and goods be recovered as soon as possible.
