All-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraj has taken 7 wickets against Sri Lanka 'A' team. Mominul Haque’s Bangladesh ‘A’ bowled out Sri Lanka ‘A’ for 268 runs in the first innings of the second four-day Tes yesterday. The batting line-up of the hosts were rattled by Miraj’s stormy bowling. Miraj started the Day 2 with 3 wickets from Day 1. He crushed the Lankans in the first session of the day and took 4 more wickets.
Sri Lanka 'A' team decided to bat first after winning the toss and finished the day with 223 runs. Sri Lanka ‘A’ got this commendable
total through extraordinary
batting of Pathum Nissanka and Kamindu Mendis. Nishanka 85 and Kamindu played 62-run innings respectively.
The hosts started the second day with 5 wickets in hand. But the Lankan batsmen could not survive in front of Miraj's spin magic. On the second day, Charitha Ashalanka, who was unbeaten on the first day with 17, kept his team on the match.
On the first day, two batsmen sealed half-centuries, but on the second day, no one could cross the fifty-run mark. Ashalanka was dismissed after playing 44-run. In addition, the hosts skipper Ashan Priyanjan scored 28 and Lahiru Udara scored 20.
Sri Lanka 'A' team's first innings stopped at 268 runs. Apart of Miraj, young pacer Ebadat Hossain scalped two wickets the other wicket was bagged by Salauddin Shakil.
