For saving the life of a minor girl from a pond, her cousin Tafsir of village Boleswarpur in Alamdanga upazila of Chuadanga died on September 27 evening. Tafsir Ahmed, 8, is son of Maser Ali of the village.
According to family sources, Rima Khatun, 6, daughter of Raham Ali was playing with Tafsir Ahmed near the pond of the village. At one stage Rima Khatun fell in the pond. Tafsir jumped into pond for rescuing her.
After rescuing Tafsir became serious ill. Both Rima and Tafsir were sent to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital for treatment, but after passing sometimes in the hospital Tafir died. He was buried his native village grave yard last night.
