Anisur Rahman Milon has, for the first time, associated himself with an Eid project not just as an actor, but a director. His TV-serial directorial debut will be an Eid drama serial titled ‘Abba Ukil Dakbo’. Written by Biplob Haider, the seven-episode drama serial will be aired on Asian TV during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.
The shooting of ‘Abba Ukil Dakbo’ has already begun at a shooting house in Pubail area. Along with Anisur Rahman Milon, the drama serial also casts AKM Hasan, Nazira Mou, Zakia Bari Mamo, Amirul Haque Chowdhury, Shabnam Parvin and Sahana Sumi, among others, in different roles.
About his role as a director, Milon said, “The drama serial ‘Abba Ukil Dakbo’ is a situational comedy-drama. With a message for the society, the story of the drama serial will roll on. Also, I am eager to know if the viewers would take an interest in the drama after learning that I am also directing it.”
“While directing, I always checked back if I had made any mistakes or if anyone finding any problem. What I found most pleasing was getting respect as a director by the whole cast and crew”, he added.
Taking about Milon’s directing skills, actor AKM Hasan said, “Earlier, I have worked under Milon’s direction in a tele-drama. I always thought that Milon as an actor is talented but as a director, he is also skilled too. If he continues in directing, he would make a strong space for himself in the direction arena.”
Milon directed his first tele-drama ‘Barowari’ in 1999. It was also written by him. Later, he directed two more tele-dramas.
