Miller to lead Bangladesh business delegation at IPBF

US Ambassador to Bangladesh Earl R Miller will lead a delegation comprising with Bangladeshi business and industry leaders to the Indo-Pacific Business Forum (IPBF) to be held in Thai capital Bangkok on November 4, reports BSS.

The IPBF, supported by the USA, will focus on benefits of partnering with the dynamic US private sector as well as the importance of high standard development, transparency, and the rule of law, said a press release on Saturday.

Miller will highlight opportunities for increasing trade and investment between the USA and Bangladesh, with an emphasis on the most pertinent challenges to growth in the digital economy, energy, and infrastructure development.

The USA remains the largest source of foreign direct investment in the Indo-Pacific region, range between the Pacific and Indian Oceans, while the IPBF is an inclusive, private-led platform to promote trade, investment and economic cooperation throughout this strategically vital region.

It is expected that the IPBF will also offer unprecedented networking opportunities for the private sector, project developers and sources of financing, as the forum will bring together decision makers and business leaders looking to write the next chapter of the Indo-Pacific future, said the IPBF’s official website.
