A mild earthquake jolted parts of Sylhet region on Thursday morning.
The earthquake, measuring 4.3 magnitude on the Richter Scale, was felt at 9:56 am which lasted for few seconds, said Observer Syed Ahmed of Sylhet Meteorological Department.
The epicenter of the earthquake was Meghalaya in India.
However, no injury or casualty was reported.
The earthquake in Sylhet that occurred 10 days after the devastating quake in Syria and Turkey created panic among some people in Bangladesh.
Many people called media offices to know details about the earthquake.
