The ongoing mild heat wave is likely to continue in different parts of the country, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
"Mild Heat Wave is sweeping over the districts of Faridpur, Rangamati, Sylhet, Rajshahi, Nilphamari and Chuadanga and it may continue," said a met office bulletin issued Monday morning.
It also predicted dry weather over the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am today. Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin said.
However, the bulletin also said that, "The Depression over North Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay moved North eastwards intensified into a deep Depression over the same area (Near Lat:12.0oN and Lon: 93.5oE) and was centred at 06 AM today (21 March, 2022). It is likely to intensify into a
Cyclonic Storm by afternoon today and move in a North/North-easterly direction."
The highest temperature on Sunday was recorded 38.1 degree Celsius in Rajshahi, while today's minimum temperature was 16.4 degree Celsius in
Srimangal under Sylhet division.
