The annual Urs marking the Holy 884 th Fateha-e-Yazdaham (death anniversary) of Boro Pir Hazrat Gawsul Azam Shaikh Syed Abdul Kader Zilani (RA) will be observed on the premises of Mia Saheb Maidan khankah Sarif at Luxmibazar in the old city of Dhaka today (Thursday).
A discussion on the life and activities of Boro Pir Hazrat Gawsul Azam Shaikh Syed Abdul Kader Zilani (RA) will be held following a milad and doa mahfil after Magreb prayers.
The programme will begin through recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Dr Haji Mohammad Ishtiaq Sazzadur Rahman, Hafez Faruq and Hafej Rahmotullah.
Ninth goddinashin pir Alhajj Hazrat Maulana Shah Sufi Syed Ahamadur Rahim, who is also the Mutwalli of Hazrat Shah Sufi Syed Abu Yousuf Abdullah (RA) Waqf Estate and Director of Mia Saheb Maidan Shah Saheb Bari Jame Masjid, will conduct the discussion, dua mahfil and akheri munajat.
Pesh Imam, who is also the khatib of Shah Saheb Bari Jame Masjid Hajrat Maulana Md Hossain Ahmed Afsari and other Islamic scholars will speak on the occasion. The milad mahfil will begin after the Isha prayers which will be conducted by Haji Syed Mohammad Barkatullah Badruddin while Khawja Mohammad Naquib will present Naat -e - Rasul (SM).
Later tabarak will be distributed among the devotees by convener of the programme Saiyed Taiyab Morshed Araf.
