The authorities concerned are looking forward to conducting the final performance of the metro rail next month. By this month, all phases of trial run of Metrorail will be completed.
Following the successful test run the commercial journey will begin in December. Initially it will operate from Uttara to Agargaon. At the end of June, the work progress of this part is 93.76 percent. Since there are still a few months left, trial runs are now being done almost regularly at various stages.
Separate network line to operate trains automatically has also been installed. While two or more trains will operate at the same direction there will be 250 meter distance between them. Due to the separate network, there will be no risk of collision between two trains. The authorities concerned have also conducted automatic movement test. He also said, “We want to start the integrated test in the month of October. After which we will conduct test with passenger in the coaches. Then we move forward towards commercial operation.”
Meanwhile, the construction work of 4 stations from Diabari to Agargaon has been completed. And a 20 km railway has been laid up to Motijheel. The managing director of the project said that the specialized metro rail police will be appointed soon for metro rail security.
A total of 11.5 km from Diabari to Agargaon in Uttara is being prepared for inauguration. The construction work of five out of six stations in this section is also in final stage. So far 14 sets of trains have arrived in the country from Japan. Out of this, 10 sets of trains are being prepared for running up to Agargaon.
