Mercantile Bank Limited launched ‘Mujib Corner’ at its headoffice to mark the centenary of the birth of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Bank’s chairman Morshed Alam M.P inaugurated the ‘Mujib Corner’ on Thursday by cutting ribbon while Mohd. Selim, Vice Chairman, Md. Anwarul Haque, Chairman, Executive Committee; M. Amanullah, Chairman, Mercantile Bank Foundation; A. S. M. Feroz Alam, A.K.M. Shaheed Reza, Al-Haj Mosharref Hossain, Directors, Shahidul Ahsan, honourable shareholder, Md. Quamrul Islam Chowdhury, Managing Director & CEO and Mati Ul Hasan, AMD & CRO of the Bank were present.
Portrait, Photographs of historic moments and Quotes of Bangabandhu have been seen in the wall of `Mujib Corner’. Bookshelf has been enriched by the books written on Bangabandhu.
Documentary on Bangabandhu and historic speeches of Bangabandhu are being displayed on digital screen. ‘Chowmuhany Branch’ and ‘Naogaon Branch’ of Mercantile Bank Ltd. also built ‘Mujib Corner’ at their premises. ‘Mujib Corner’ of Mercantile Bank Ltd. will be open for all at office hour.
