Mercantile Bank Limited organised a virtual workshop on ‘Sustainable Finance under Green Banking’ on Saturday.
Eighty-one officials, including branch heads, representatives from divisions of head office and six entrepreneurs, attended the online programme, said a press release.
Mercantile Bank Managing Director and CEO Md Quamrul Islam Chowdhury inaugurated the workshop. In his address, the managing director advised the participants to strictly adhere to the sustainable finance policy guidelines of central bank.
Additional Managing Director Mati UL Hasan also addressed the programme while Bangladesh Bank General Manager for Sustainable Finance Department (SFD) Khondkar Morshed Millat was the keynote speaker. Javed Tariq, Principal of MBTI, moderated the programme.
