Md Mehmood Husain has joined National Bank Limited, the country's first generation private bank, as the Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Md Mehmood Husain has previously served as the Managing Director and CEO of NRB Bank, President and Managing Director of Bank Asia and as the Additional Managing Director and Chief Business Officer at Prime Bank.
He has also served as the Director of Lanka Bangla Finance Limited and Lanka Bangla Securities Limited and the Chairman of Lanka Bangla Asset Management Company Limited.
After obtaining a master's degree in Economics from Dhaka University, Md Mehmood Husain joined National Bank Limited in 1984 as a probationary officer and held important positions in various divisions including branch manager till 1997.
He has participated in many professional trainings, workshops and seminars at home and abroad.
He is a lifetime member of Association of Bankers Bangladesh (ABB) and Bangladesh Economic Association.
