The newly decorated building of Meherpur Press Club was inaugurated. Mayor of Meherpur Municipality Mahfuzur Rahman Riton inaugurated the new building on Sunday evening.
President of Meherpur Press Club Fazlul Haque Montu chaired the ceremony, while General Secretary Alamin Hossain delivered the welcome speech and Organizing Secretary Ben Yamin Mukto conducted the event.
Panel Mayor of Meherpur Municipality Shahinur Rahman Riton, former president of Meherpur Press Club Ruhul Quddus Tito, vice-president Faruk Mallick, vice president Md. Faruk Hossain, chief adviser Tuhin Aranya, advisor Wazedul Haque Jedu, advisor Kamruzzaman Khan and general secretary of Gangni Press Club Mahabub Alam spoke on the occasion, among others.
On this occasion, Mayor of Meherpur Municipality was honoured. President and General Secretary of the press club welcomed him with a crest.
The Mayor decorated the Meherpur Press Club building with his own fund. Journalists of Meherpur are happy with his contribution. This newly decorated building is a gift from Meherpur Municipality on the occasion of Mujib Barsho.
