A meeting of the producer team inspired by the Jamalpur Area Program was held on Sunday to improve the condition of the farmers in the area. The main topic of discussion of the farmers present in the meeting was the demand to get fair price of the hard-earned crops and the opening of crop insurance to get compensation in various calamities.
The meeting held at the house of Lakshirchar Bhatipara Siddikur Rahman of Jamalpur Sadar Upazila was presided over by President of the producer group Ziaul Haque. Among others present in the meeting were Nahin Ahmed Shah, National Coordinator of World Vision's Integrated Livelihoods Program, Program Manager Mohammad Ruhul Amin, Project Manager of Blue Marble Micro Insurance, Punuel Rosario Prince , Human Resources Development Director Jahangir Salim, Jamalpur Area Program Manager Sagar De Costa, Jamalpur AP Manager Minara Parveen, CDO Sameer Kumar Pandey, Sabbir Hossain Riyad, Market Development Officer of AR Malik Seeds.

At the end of the meeting, World Vision and Development Organization visiting team inspected the results of distribution of vegetables in the backyards of poor families, friend stoves, goats for livelihood, organic fertilizer production system, hygienic latrines, tube wells, hand washing process, confidence building meeting activities with the poor beneficiaries and collection point activities.
